NASASpaceflight on Instagram: "SpaceX has launched the CSG-3 mission at 6:09pm PST (02:09 UTC) aboard Falcon 9 booster B1081-21 from Space Launch Complex 4E at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, sending the COSMO-SkyMed second generation Earth observation satellite south into a sun-synchronous orbit for the Italian Space Agency. Approximately eight minutes later, after completing its mission, the booster returned to planet Earth, landing at Vandenberg’s Landing Zone 4. Following succ
