Katherine on Instagram: "How to embroider flames - part of my tribute piece to the Throne of Glass series I just finished. I don't do a ton of bookish embroidery but that is my other favorite hobby so I expect occasionally there will be some crossover!! I used three colors, 2 strands each, and satin stitch. The long & short stitch would work very well also to blend the colors of the flames but my sections were so small, I kept it to a simple satin stitch. I will do the long and short next time.
