Ring System Around J1407b is Roughly 200 Times Larger Than Saturn’s Rings

A historic discovery! Today Pale Red Dot announces the discovery of an Earth-size planet in the habitable zone around the closest star in our galaxy, Proxima Centauri. Only four light-years from Earth, the planet is dubbed Proxima b, and is at the right temperature to hold liquid water on its surface.
