DIY bird feeder: A terracotta pot, a bit of string, a fallen twig and a homemade seed mix. Suet Oats Sunflower seeds Mealworms Bound with melted lard I love when the birds show you what needs fixing. This terracotta pot feeder only worked once I steadied the twig perch – after that, everyone was much happier. You can even position the stick so only smaller birds can get in.
